Configuring Outlook 2003 Email
To Configure Outlook 2003 email use the following steps:
1. Open Outlook 2003 and Go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and choose Tools > E-mail Accounts.

2. In the E-mail Accounts window, click the radio button next to Add a new e-mail account.

3. Click Next and the Email Accounts window will display Server Type selection.
4. Choose POP3 as your server type.

5. Click Next.
6. In the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, under User Information, type your name in the Your Name field.

7. Type your email address in the E-mail Address field.
8. In the Logon Information section, type your complete email addressin the User Name field.
9. In the Logon Information section, type your password in the Password field.
10. In the Server Information section, enter the name of the Incoming mail server (ie, pop.domainname.com or pop.secureserver.net) in the Incoming mail server (POP3) field. You will need to obtain the correct incoming mail server address from your internet hosting provider.
11. In the Server Information section, enter the name of the Outgoing mail server (ie, smtp.domainname.com or smptout.secureserver.net) in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) text field.
DO NOT TEST YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS UNTIL YOU COMPLETE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS!!
12. Click More Settings button at the bottom of the window.
13. Under the General tab window, type in the name of the email account in the Mail Account text field. This can be anything you want to name your email account.

14. Select the Outgoing Server tab from the Internet E-mail Settings window.

15. Check the box next to My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
16. Select the Advanced tab from the Internet E-mail Settings window.

16.Confirm that the Server Port Numbers section indicates 110 for the Incoming Server and 25 for the Outgoing Server. This is the typical port settings for most incoming and outgoing servers.
However some companies like AT&T use different port settings. If you use AT&T for your email then your port settings may look like the picture below.

16. Click the OK button.
17. Click the Next button in the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window.
18. Click Finish button on the E-mail Accounts window.
